All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE)

The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), is an examination organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. Introduced in the year 2002, this national level competitive test is for admission to various under-graduate engineering and architecture courses in institutes accepting the AIEEE score, including 5 Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITs) and 30 National Institutes of Technology (NITs). The examination is generally held on the last Sunday of April and results are announced in the last week of May or the first week of June. Candidates are ranked on an all-India basis and state basis. The online version of the exam shall be conducted between May 7 and 26, 2012 in 22 cities.

Through All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), candidates is offered to pursue their degree courses in following streams :

AIEEE Admission Procedure :

You can apply for the AIEEE exam by the online or offline methods. Forms can also be got by post from the office of the Assistant Secretary (AIEEE). An alternative is to get it personally from the regional offices of the CBSE. Other options are the chosen branches of the Syndicate Bank or other Designated Institutions. The price of the AIEEE admission form is Rs 450/- for students of the general category and Rs. 225/- for students of the reserved communities

  • All India Engineering Entrance Examination is one of the most prestigious Engineering Entrance Exams in India , AIEEE is the gateway to many of the prestigious central government funded Institutes like National Institute of Technology (NITs ), International Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), Deemed Universities etc. It's not only engineering but also admission to many of the prestigious AIEEE colleges or institutes of Architecture, Planning and Pharmacy is also held through AIEEE.

Qualification Criteria AIEEE Admission Test

Students of India who have passed 10+2(Class XII) or an equivalent exam or appearing for the qualifying examination are considered for the provisional admission into the degree course.
If you are an aspiring engineer, and you want to appear AIEEE you have to pass your 10+2 with an aggregate of 50 % marks with Physics and mathematics as the compulsory subjects. Students who wish to be architects are required to pass their 10+2 with an aggregate of 50 % marks with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. Chemistry, Computer Science, Bio-Technology or Biology can be taken as optional subject.
